It All Started in 1875

Originally known as Ristorante Roma in the late 1800s, our restaurant has always been a central part of the city's hospitality scene. As early as 1888, local chronicles honored it as a prized destination in "the most beautiful part of the city," known for its impeccable service and outstanding cuisine.
Throughout the twentieth century, especially in the 1950s, it became the favorite gathering place for artists and musicians, fostering a tradition of warm and generous hospitality that continues to this day. In our fully reimagined spaces, we carry on a timeless journey where local identity meets the wider world, welcoming both travelers and Bolognese residents along the beautiful Via d'Azeglio.
Our cooking begins with the finest local ingredients, worked entirely by hand to honor the great classics of Bolognese tradition.
In every dish, creative vision blends with the warmth of recipes passed down through generations, reviving authentic aromas and evoking the most cherished memories.

In the Heart of Bologna's Historic Center
You'll find us on Via d'Azeglio, just steps from Piazza Maggiore. From here, the entire historic center unfolds around you, among the UNESCO-listed porticoes and the treasures of a medieval city.
